The City of Orléans offers several webcams providing real-time panoramic views of the city’s most beautiful vantage points. They allow you to experience the atmosphere of each location, how busy it is, and how it changes with the seasons, with features such as a timeline, timelapse, full-screen mode, sharing and downloading.

Since summer 2021, the webcams have offered, among other views, a 360° view from the Belfry, a 180° view of the Loire from Quai du Châtelet, as well as images of Parc Floral, Place Sainte-Croix and its cathedral, Hôtel Groslot from Place de l’Étape, and Place du Martroi with the statue of Joan of Arc and the shopping streets.

Held every two years in September in Orléans’ former port, the Loire Festival brings together hundreds of thousands of visitors, more than 200 boats, 700 boatmen and 500 artists.

The Joan of Arc Celebrations in Orléans

A flagship event in Orléans’ cultural life, the Johannine Celebrations are among the oldest traditional events in France. Recognised as part of France’s intangible cultural heritage, they pay tribute to Joan of Arc, who liberated Orléans on May 8, 1429 during the Hundred Years’ War.

Each year, around ten days of festivities bring the city to life with commemorative parades and processions, a medieval market at Campo Santo, a sound-and-light show on Sainte-Croix Cathedral, as well as an Electro Set.

A venue dedicated to sports and the pleasures of skating, the Orléans Ice Rink can accommodate up to 700 people on its rink, as well as 100 to 200 people in its panoramic hall.

It is accessible by bus on lines 1 and 3 (Les Turbulences stop), by tram on line B (Madeleine station), and by car via the A10, A71, A19, RD20 and RN60. Orléans station is about 5 minutes away and Fleury-les-Aubrais station 15 minutes away, with Paris and Tours around 1 hour 15 minutes away.
